My old projection alarm clock finally died and I have missed being able to look up at the time projected on the ceiling during the night. I started asking Alexa what time it is, but she started getting annoyed being woken up in the middle of the night. After researching for a bit I ended up buying this projection radio/alarm clock by ELEHOT. For the price I really wasn’t expecting much, but to my pleasant surprise this projection radio/alarm clock has well exceeded my expectations.Firstly, I like the look of this clock radio. The design reminds me of televisions from back in my early days. Secondly, I didn’t pay attention to the display size when I ordered and was pleased to see how large the display is. The time displayed on the bright 6″ LCD is in numbers that are almost 2″ tall making it very easy to tell the time from quite some distance away. The display brightness can be adjusted and the ceiling projection can also be focused; the ceiling projection then has two 3 brightness settings (bright, brighter, off) that can be adjusted by simply pressing the top snooze button.Note: One reviewer left a negative review stating the time was projected upside down. They obviously did not take the time or effort to look and see that there is 180 “projection flip” button clearly marked on the back of the clock. The other setting on the clock are also very easy to set. I only had to refer to the owner’s manual to figure out how to set the radio stations and adjust the radio station volume. The clock has two alarms that are easy to set and then turn on and off with a push of one button. And there is of course a snooze bar on top.The radio function took a minute to figure out but I simply had to hold down the radio button for a few seconds and the clock went into auto-scan mode saving all the FM stations it found, in my case over 40. There were a fair amount of dead stations and ones with too much static saved with no way to delete them. However, once you toggle through to a favorite station that is the station that it will default to when the radio is turned on.And for a clock radio the radio doesn’t sound half bad. You can also quickly set a sleep timer between 10 – 90 minutes in 10-minute increments. The clock radio also has a battery back-up in case of a power outage. (The CR205 button-cell battery has already been installed.) And finally the clock radio has a USB charger port in the back that can be used to charge USB chargeable devices. As you can tell I like this little inexpensive projection radio/alarm clock. If anything change I will update this review.

I can’t stand any kind of light in my bedroom while I’m sleeping (used to cover my clock face with a coaster). I love that this clock face can be on bright, less bright and OFF (see photos). We never had a projection light, but I was intrigued with the idea. It actually turns on with the snooze button (brilliant!) which means that you don’t mind the light because technically you’re not trying to sleep anymore and would want to know what time it is. You can see if from where you lay without tilting your head to find out.I was hoping it was dim enough that I would leave the projection light on all night so if I woke up in the middle of the night I could know the time (as if that’s somehow important), but honestly, unless I’m super tired and fall asleep fast, I can’t stand the light it generates. But I do put it on at night if I’m reading or whatnot before bed. I definitely do NOT like that bright setting on the projection time – it creates a big circle of light like a flashlight (see pictures). On the dimmer setting it still shows a dim circle, but not nearly as bad and in the picture didn’t even show. But like the clock face, the projection can be completely turned off. (note: the projected clock did face the right direction, I don’t know why it keeps flipping my picture)With that being said, Pros:-bright, dim, off feature on both the clock face and the projection-nice choice of wake sounds, including non-obnoxious quieter sounds for those without an issue waking up-dual alarms (for spouse or schedule different on a certain day)Just to be picky, Cons:-the labeling on the small buttons on the back of the clock are really hard to readThere are several small buttons on the back of the clock, which once memorized, are great! They 1) change the dimness of the clock face (I wish THAT feature was a main button as I turn it on every morning and off every night), 2) flip the projection time in case you’re facing it toward a back wall instead of the ceiling or in front of you 3) change from 12 to 24 hour time, among other things. I’ve used this for several weeks and I’m still messing up those three items I mentioned – I keep hitting buttons until I get what I want. Someday I will program myself to know by feel which button I need. Some reviews have mentioned blinking colon dots in between the numbers – this is only on the projection – NOT on the clock face itself. I’m not sure why it blinks (maybe if you’re wanting to count sheep in perfect rhythm?) so it is a bit silly – but it’s not bright enough to bother me.I recommend this alarm clock.

Everything on Mine was perfect. As discibed exept one,The ad makes it sound like this is a rechargable item,it is NOT.If You plug it in the item works and if You unplug it,it doesn’t.There is a back up battery in side to save time if power goes out,but thats it.Also this clock is the size of a phone inside a case protector,a little big for traveling.I have it in tge bedroom on low brightness and the projection on the ceiling above the bed.The alarm is set to the piano meledy “sound of silence”.So far is going great.
